Arkansas State Police said the boy Blu died about three months ago from injuries he probably got in the house, but an arrest document says he drowned in a toilet.

The affidavit says that Rolland first told deputies that Blu was not at home during a civil standby. She told her father right away that the boy had died in the house. She told her parents that the boy’s body was under the floorboards that had just been put in place.

The affidavit says that when deputies went back to the house, they found the boy alive, but all they could find under the floorboard was a blanket and a pair of flip-flops. In the affidavit, it says that when they took off the top layer of dirt, they could smell decay.
