Britney Spears Explains the Importance of Her Justin Timberlake Post
Britney Spears is making it clear that she doesn’t mean anything bad. The singer explained why she posted a throwback photo of herself and her ex Justin Timberlake in matching basketball uniforms on Instagram on January 17 and then deleted it.
“The picture with my ex is from when it was clearer what it meant to be together,” she wrote on her Instagram Story on January 19. “Yes, that’s it!!!”
She also shared a short clip of herself getting a tattoo in Maui the day after posting the throwback with Justin, but she kept the tattoo a secret from fans. “Because it stinks. It stinks really, really bad!!!”
Reports said that the bad tattoo was related to her message about Justin, but Britney, who got married to Sam Asghari in June 2022, said that the two posts have nothing to do with each other.
“Just to make sure…
My tattoo has nothing to do with any of my ex-boyfriends!!!” She told people about this on her Instagram Story. “I just did it because I wanted to!” The “Mirrors” singer’s Instagram post comes almost two years after he apologized to Britney after the first showing of “Framing Britney Spears.”
When the documentary came out in February 2021, fans were upset about what Justin had to say about Britney, who he dated from 1999 to 2002. “I’ve seen the messages, tags, comments, and worries, and I want to respond,” he wrote at the time on Instagram.
“I deeply regret the times in my life when my actions made the problem worse, like when I spoke out of turn or didn’t stand up for what was right. I know that I didn’t do a good job in these and many other situations. I also know that I benefited from a system that allows racism and misogyny.”
