When Charles A. Bassey was born on October 28, 2000, he was an NBA player for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association, which is an American league (NBA). Early Life

Bassey was born in Lagos, Nigeria, where he played soccer until he was 12 when he was 6 feet 1 inch (1.85 m) tall. At the time, he was tall enough to play soccer.   2. As a freshman, Bassey scored 14.6 points, grabbed 10 rebounds, and blocked 2.4 shots per game. He was named First Team All-Conference USA, Defensive Player of the Year, and Freshman of the Year. He had the most rebounds, blocks, and double-doubles by a freshman in the history of the team.
  3. When Bassey played Arkansas, he broke a bone on the top of his tibia that required surgery. His sophomore season was cut short. When he played in the first 10 games of the season, he was scoring 15.3 points, getting 9.2 points per game, and blocking 1.6 shots per game.

It was on March 31, 2017, that Auriantal and his wife were given conservatorship of Bassey by a judge. A few years later, Bassey’s father tried to get the case reopened and give Nigerian basketball tournament organizer John Faniran custody of his son, but the petition was thrown out because it didn’t have enough proof.
