Charles Brown Jr. (born February 2, 1997) is an American professional basketball player who currently plays for the Philadelphia 76ers of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He also plays for the Delaware Blue Coats of the NBA G League on a two-way contract with the Philadelphia 76ers. He was a member of the Saint Joseph’s Hawks basketball team during his college years.

High School Career
- He began his high school education at Imhotep Institute Charter High School before transferring to George Washington High School before the beginning of his junior year. During the summer before his senior year, he participated in the Amateur Athletic Union for Philly Pride.
- During his final season, Brown averaged 18.4 points per game and was named the Philadelphia Public League’s B Division’s Most Valuable Player. He had made a verbal commitment to West Chester University but was offered and accepted a scholarship to Saint Joseph’s University in New York City instead.
- Brown chose to continue his prep education for the fifth year at St. Thomas More School in Oakdale, Connecticut, where he contributed to the team’s 31–6 record and appearance in the National Prep Championship game.

College Career
- As a freshman at Saint Joseph’s, he started 30 of the Hawks’ 31 games and averaged 12.8 points, five rebounds, and 1.1 assists per game while shooting 38.4 per cent from beyond the arc and 81.9 percent from the free-throw line.
- He was also named to the Big East Freshman of the Year honours. Brown has been named to the Atlantic 10 Conference’s All-Rookie team for the first time. He was named to the third team all-conference prior to his true sophomore season, but he was forced to use a medical redshirt after breaking his wrist during preseason practice and thus missed the entire season.
- Brown led the Atlantic 10 in scoring as a redshirt sophomore, averaging 19.0 points per game while also averaging 6.2 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game over 32 games, earning him second-team All-Atlantic 10 and first-team All-Big 5 honors.
- A total of 1,006 points and 352 rebounds were recorded by Brown during his college basketball career, which included 63 games played. Following the conclusion of his redshirt sophomore season, Brown declared for the 2019 NBA Draft with the intent of signing with an agent, thereby foregoing his remaining two seasons of eligibility in the process.
Professional Career
- Brown, who went undrafted in the 2019 NBA Draft, agreed to a two-way contract with the Atlanta Hawks on June 21, 2019, and officially signed with the team the following day on July 1, 2019. A 113–93 loss to the Chicago Bulls marked Brown’s NBA debut on November 6, 2019, in which he played four minutes and contributed two points and one rebound in a losing effort.
- Brown was signed by the Minnesota Timberwolves on December 11, 2020, but he was released from his contract eight days later. The Iowa Wolves of the NBA G League signed him on January 25, 2021, and he appeared in 13 games, averaging 12.5 points, 5.5 boards, 1.69 steals, 1.9 assists, and a team-high 1.69 steals in 30.0 minutes per game while shooting 44.7 per cent from the field.
- Brown signed a 10-day contract with the Oklahoma City Thunder on April 25, 2021, which will expire on April 25, 2021. The following month, he signed another 10-day contract, and a few weeks after that, he signed a multi-year contract.
- Brown was released from his contract by the Thunder on September 26, 2021.
- Brown’s rights were traded from the Iowa Wolves to the Delaware Blue Coats on October 20, 2021, in exchange for Raphiael Putney, and he signed a one-year deal with the Blue Coats just five days after the trade. Over his first 11 games, he posted an impressive 16.8 points, 8.1 rebounds, 1.6 assists, 1.6 steals, and 0.9 blocks per game.
- Brown signed a 10-day contract with the Dallas Mavericks on December 23, 2021, according to the team’s website. In three games for the Mavericks, he made an appearance.
- The Delaware Blue Coats re-acquired Brown on January 2, 2022, and he was immediately activated. The following day, Brown agreed to terms with the Philadelphia 76ers on a 10-day contract.
- On January 11, he agreed to terms with the 76ers on a two-way contract. Brown made his first NBA start for the Philadelphia 76ers on January 19, 2022, at home against the Orlando Magic of Orlando, Florida.
