Dwayne ‘the Rock’ Johnson Johnson Admits to Shoplifting
Dwayne Johnson made himself feel better by going back to the 7-Eleven store in Hawaii where he used to steal things. Johnson said on Instagram that it has taken him decades to “right this wrong” while “casting out his demons” on social media.
The Rock revealed that as a teenager, he would shoplift from his neighborhood 7-Eleven and steal king-sized Snickers bars almost every day. Fans may be surprised to learn that the Black Adam star, who now has a net worth of $800 million, had a bittersweet reason for stealing the candy.
“I used to stop by this 7-Eleven every day when I was 14 years old and steal a king-sized Snickers bar because I couldn’t afford to buy one. That was my pre-workout nutrition.
That was something I did for nearly a year ” In the video, the WWE superstar-turned-actor shares his thoughts. Johnson wrote in the video’s description, “Every day, the same clerk was there, and she always just turned her head and never caught me.”
“We were kicked out of Hawaii in 1987, and I finally went back there to make things right. I finally got rid of chocolate, which had been bothering me for years “Johnson penned a letter.
In the video, Johnson goes back to the 7-Eleven he robbed and buys all of the Snickers bars there. He also pays for the other customers’ purchases.
“We can’t change the past or some of the stupid things we’ve done, but every once in a while, we can add a little redeeming grace note to that situation and maybe make some strangers smile big,” Johnson wrote in the caption.
Johnson is now one of the best-paid stars in Hollywood.
