In 2023, Billy Idol Will Be Honoured With the Inaugural Star on Hollywood’s Walk of Fame

The first person to get a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame will be Billy Idol in 2023. The ceremony was supposed to happen on Thursday, January 5, but heavy rain is expected, so it will now happen on Friday (January 6th).

On Instagram, Idol posted the following: “UPDATE***** The ceremony has been moved to Friday, January 6th, because of the rain. Help me celebrate getting a star on the famous Hollywood Walk of Fame at 11:30 a.m. PT in Los Angeles! The address is 6212 Hollywood Blvd, which is right next to Amoeba Music.

If you can’t go to the ceremony on Friday, you can watch it live online at walkoffame.com. “I hope you’ll be there!” Idol started his legendary career in the late 1970s as the lead singer of the UK punk band Generation X.

In the 1980s and beyond, he became a multi-platinum solo artist. Idol keeps putting out new music. In September, his EP The Cage came out.

Ana Martinez, the producer of the Hollywood Walk of Fame, said, “There will be a lot of rebels cheering for their favourite rock star Billy Idol when he gets his well-deserved star on the Walk of Fame.”

Since the beginning of his career, Billy Idol has won the hearts of many of his fans. Now, they will be able to visit his star and see him get into the Walk of Fame.

On Friday at 11:30 a.m., the Idol ceremony will take place in front of Amoeba Music at 6212 Hollywood Boulevard. It will make the total number of stars on the Walk of Fame 2,743. Henry Rollins, another famous punk musician, and Shepard Fairey, an artist, are set to speak at the Idol ceremony.
