Tokyo Revengers Season 2 is the most-anticipated anime of 2023. It was written and drawn by Ken Wakui. The anime versions of manga have become huge hits all over the world.
Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers will come out at 3:00 AM JST on Sunday, January 8, 2023. The Christmas Showdown Arc from the manga will be covered in this season. Only Disney+ and Disney+Hotstar will be able to show the series.
Season 1 Recap: What Happened
In the first season of Tokyo Revengers, 26-year-old Takemichi Hanagaki finds out that his middle school ex-girlfriend and her younger brother have died. The Tokyo Manji Gang kills both Hinata and Naoto. Toman joins a gang in Tokyo that kills people who have done nothing wrong.
If someone pushes Takemichi in front of a train, he goes back in time 12 years. Until he was still in middle school. So, Takemichi joins the Tokyo Manji Gang to get in and work his way up so he can save Hinata from her terrible fate.
Toman is run by Mickey and his best friend Draken (Tokyo Manji Gang). The plot then has Takemichi go back and forth between the past and the future to change what will happen to his friends.
Takemichi gets close to the people in his gang and tries to keep them from dying. He wants to make sure Mickey doesn’t turn bad. At the end of Season 1, Kisaki Tetta shot Takemichi and Chifuyu. But the story will pick up again in the second season of the show.
What Can We Expect From Tokyo Revengers Season 2?
In the next season, the Christmas Showdown Arc will be talked about. At the end of season 1, the show will start up again, and Kisaki Tetta is currently filming Chifuyu and Takemichi.
The battle between the Tokyo Manji Gang and the 10th Generation Black Dragon will take up most of Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers. Shinichiro Sano, Mickey’s older brother, was the one who started the gang.
This season, there will be two new characters: Taiju Shiba and Yuzuha Shiba. Taiju Shiba is the one in charge of the Black Dragon. He is also the big brother of Hakkai Shiba, who is the vice president of the second division. Hakkai joins the Black Dragon gang so he can protect Takemichi. Mitsuya and Taiju Shiba agree to stop fighting.
Black Dragon will also be joined by Hakkai. In exchange, he will stop hurting Yuzuha, his younger sister. Also, the gangs won’t fight each other. Hakkai makes a plan to kill Taiju and tells Takemichi about it.
Chifuyu and Takemichi think that this will have bad effects in the long run. The series will end with chapters 78 through 121 of the manga. On the other hand, Kisaki Tetta and Hamna will come back with bad plans to take over Tokyo Manji Gang.
On the other hand, Mickey gets darker and darker. We’ll learn if the season will have different storylines or not. On January 8, 2023, Season 2 of Tokyo Revengers will come out. Christmas Showdown Arc is going to be exciting.
