Karan Johar, a Bollywood producer and director, congratulated his friend and fellow director S. S. Rajamouli and the team of his film “RRR” after the song “Naatu Naatu” won the Golden Globe for best original song at the 80th ceremony, which just took place in Beverly Hills, California.
On Wednesday, KJo put a video on his Instagram story of ‘Wednesday’ star Jenna Ortega saying that the song had won a prized award.
The director of “Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham” wrote on the picture, “Absolutely thrilled and filled with pride as #NaatuNaatu from #RRR brings home a prestigious #GoldenGlobes award.”
“Congratulations to the whole team! This is great for Indian cinema as a whole!” he said.
The movie “RRR,” which stands for “Roudram Ranam Rudhiram” in Telugu, is based on the lives of two Indian freedom fighters, Alluri Sitarama Raju and Komaram Bheem.
Since it came out in March of last year, the movie has become a worldwide hit. Ram Charan and Jr. N.T.R., who are both big stars in Telugu, are in the movie. Alia Bhatt, who was taught by Karan, plays the love interest of Alluri Sitarama Raju, played by Ram Charan.
People know that KJo and Rajamouli are close friends because they have shown each other’s movies in their own film circuits.
