Michael Madsen From Reservoir Dogs Has Been Taken Into Custody on a Domestic Battery Charge

Over the weekend, Michael Madsen, star of Reservoir Dogs, was taken into custody in Malibu on suspicion of misdemeanor domestic assault.

According to numerous news sources on Monday, August 19, Madsen was arrested at the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station on Saturday, August 17, at 1:40 a.m. under California Penal Code section 243(e)(1), which refers to employing force or violence against a cohabitant.

Us Weekly has requested comments from the Malibu/Lost Hills Sheriff’s Station and Madsen’s agents.

A Madsen representative told Variety, “Michael and his wife had a disagreement, and we hope it ends positively for both of them.”

Madsen posted a $20,000 bond and departed the station.

The character actor is most recognized for his parts in the dramas Donnie Brasco and Thelma & Louise, as well as Quentin Tarantino’s Reservoir Dogs and Kill Bill: Volume 2. In 1996, he wed his spouse, DeAnna.

Calvin, 27, Luke, 18, and the late Hudson, who committed suicide in January 2022 at the age of 26, are the couple’s boys. (Madsen and his ex-wife Jeannine Bisignano also have two sons: Max, 30, and Christian, 34.)

Madsen has been afoul of the law before. Hudson was taken into custody for trespassing in Malibu a month after his passing. Additionally, The Los Angeles Times reports that in 2019, he was given a sentence of four days in jail and five years of probation following an incident involving drunk driving.

He was previously imprisoned for driving while intoxicated in 2012 and given a 30-day rehabilitation sentence.
