Miley Cyrus to Release New Album ‘endless Summer Vacation’ in March, Teaser Trailer
On March 10, Miley Cyrus’s new label, Columbia Records, will release her new album, “Endless Summer Vacation.” The album will come after “Plastic Hearts” in 2020. In the announcement, Cyrus called it “her love letter to L.A.”
With the announcement of “Endless Summer Vacation,” there was a teaser trailer that showed some of the themes that will be on the album. In the one-minute video, Cyrus says a short line of dialogue while close-up shots and visual references to Los Angeles, like rippling water, a helicopter, and creepy-looking cell towers disguised as palm trees, are shown.
The official press release says that the music and images in “Endless Summer Vacation” show how strong she has become by focusing on both her physical and mental health.
The album was recorded in Los Angeles and co-produced by Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson, Greg Kurstin, and Mike WiLL Made-It. Kid Harpoon and Tyler Johnson are known for their work on Harry Styles’ “Harry’s House.”
“Endless Summer Vacation” will be available digitally and in stores all over the world. Fans can now pre-order the album in a variety of ways, such as black vinyl, exclusive red vinyl, and a clear vinyl version that is only available on shop.mileycyrus.com.
During her live NBC special “Miley’s New Year’s Eve Party,” the singer said that the first single from her album, “Flowers,” will come out on January 13. She also gave fans a taste of “Flowers” by posting two short clips of it on YouTube and on her social media accounts.
Aside from the reveal of “Flowers,” the live special had big-name musical performances and guests like Sia, Latto, Rae Sremmurd, David Byrne, Liily and Fletcher, Paris Hilton, “SNL’s” Chloe Fineman, Sarah Sherman, and comedy group Please Don’t Destroy.
After seven years and four albums with RCA, a Sony Music company, Cyrus joined Columbia last year.
