On the Anniversary of “Driver’s License,” Olivia Rodrigo Teases New Music
Olivia Rodrigo put a video of her and a collaborator making new music together on her Instagram Story and shared it with her followers.
The 19-year-old artist posted a video of herself and music producer Dan Nigro jamming out to a bit of a new song while they were working on it on the day that marked two years since the release of her hit song “Driver’s License.”
Rodrigo wrote the following as the caption for his post: “I’ve been working on so many new songs that I can’t wait to show you! Please accept my thanks for everything.
Olivia had already said that she was working on her second album, and in February 2022, she told Billboard what she was doing: “Making a second album after having a first one that was so well received is a very different experience.
But I still write a lot of my music in my bedroom, and I don’t think that will ever change. Before anything else, I think that writing music will continue to help me deal with my feelings.
Rodrigo’s first studio album, “Sour,” came out in May of 2021. It included the multi-platinum hits “Driver’s License,” “Deja Vu,” and “Good 4 U.” In 2022, Sour was the album that had been played on Spotify the third most.
