‘Real Housewives of New Jersey’ Star Rachel Fuda is Expecting a Baby Following a Year-Long IVF Journey
Rachel Fuda, a star on Real Housewives of New Jersey, is expecting!
The 33-year-old reality TV personality revealed her pregnancy to her husband John during the Bravo show’s season 14 special “Off The Rails” episode, which aired on Sunday, August 11.
After Melissa Gorga said, “There’s a lot of life to be had,” Rachel made the unexpected announcement during a toast with the rest of her RHONJ co-stars.
Rachel interrupted Gorga, 45, to share her good news, saying, “Considering I’m pregnant!”
Three children already live with Rachel and John: a seventeen-year-old son named Jaiden and two daughters, Gianella and Giuliana. Gianella and Giuliana were also IVF-born, but Rachel was a lawful adoptive mother to Jaiden. Additionally, IVF was used to conceive the unborn child.
Rachel talked up about her struggle with infertility during season 13. She told John that she wanted to use their five viable embryos to start a family again through in vitro fertilization.
At that moment, she informed him, “The clock is ticking.” “Four children seems like a fair quantity to me. This is the right moment. This process takes around a year. I want to finish this up quickly.
The Bravo star has persevered through the IVF process and balanced parenting with her reality show filming duties.
She gave birth to a daughter, Giuliana, in 2022, just seven weeks before the 13th season of the show began production.
It was difficult. At the time, Rachel spoke exclusively to Us Weekly, saying, “You don’t feel like yourself.” “You don’t feel comfortable. You don’t truly own your body yet. It was undoubtedly difficult. Although psychologically taxing, I believe I handled it quite well.
The businesswoman continued, praising her family for providing her with “an amazing support system” while she struggled to get through the filming process.
Rachel exclaimed, “I’m so grateful for that,” to Us. “I could not have accomplished any of this without the support of my parents, husband, brother, and sister-in-law.”
At the time, Rachel and RHONJ producer Maggie Langtry grew close as well because of their common experience with the arduous IVF procedure.
Rachel confided in Langtry about her infertility issues in many of her conversations, which the producer could identify with as she was starting a similar road.
In a June episode of the show, Langrty informed Rachel, “I just word-vomited at you because I hadn’t told a lot of my friends or family that I was going through IVF.”
The RHONJ actress replied by sharing with Lantry how important their shared experience was to her.
“That means the world to me,” Rachel answered. that you were at ease enough to approach me. And that bonded us right away. Because with that openness and that exchange of ideas, it seems like we’ve become friends. We are friends through infertility.
