Sarah Jessica Parker is selling her collection of shoes.
“SJP by Sarah Jessica Parker has made the difficult decision to close its doors this fall, after 10 colorful years,” the company said in a statement released on Friday, August 16, according to Footwear News.
“The SJP Collection team would like to extend their sincere gratitude to all of their devoted clients, partners, and supporters.”
On Sunday, August 25, Parker’s last store in New York City will close, although customers can still purchase online in the interim.
Since founding her brand in 2014 with George Malkemus, who passed away in 2021, Parker, 59, has built several stores in New York City. She has been known for her decade of strappy pumps, sparkly heels, and distinctive designs.
Even her on-screen character Carrie Bradshaw’s Upper East Side apartment on Sex and the City is only down the street from one of her storefronts.
Although Parker has not yet responded to the news of her brand closing, her followers reacted quickly on social media.
