Taylor Lautner Performs Backflips During Kane Brown’s Concert
Taylor Lautner is making his way through more performances with backflips.
Lautner, 32, appeared on stage during the country music star’s In The Air tour on Saturday, August 24, during Kane Brown’s Los Angeles event. Brown, 30, performed with Tyler Hubbard and Locash as special guests.
Wearing a white T-shirt and trousers, Lautner performed a backflip on stage to display his amazing physical prowess. Lautner thanked the crowd and did the splits after finishing the tumble.
On Sunday, August 25, Hubbard posted a video on his Instagram Story featuring Team USA gymnast Simone Biles, writing, “My dude Taylor Lautner Biles goin for gold.”
The Twilight star reshared the video of Lautner’s maneuvers on his Instagram Story on Sunday, responding with the words “8 WOWWWW,” following a fan who had posted the footage and praised his skills as “8/10.”
Lautner has been practicing his backflip over the stage since his Jacob Black days, and he has done it before. When Lautner fell during one of Brown’s gigs in July 2022, the musician gave him a high five. Brown uploaded a video of Taylor Lautner backflipping to a TikTok at the time, writing, “Taylor Lautner came to the show like.”
In reference to Lautner’s 2005 performance as Sharkboy in the film The Adventures of Sharkboy and Lavagirl in 3-D, Brown wrote, “Sharkboy out here doing backflips,” as the caption for the upload.
A year later, Taylor Swift welcomed the cast of the “I Can See You” music video to the stage for her Eras Tour stop at Arrowhead Stadium.
In the video, Lautner—who dated Swift from August to December 209—was paired with Joey King and Presley Cash. During the July 2023 event, he performed a backflip down the catwalk after Swift called his name.
When Lautner appeared on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon some months later, he thought back on the occasion.
“When I get really nervous and freak out, I just go straight to backflip, which is a weird thing I do, so please excuse me,” Lautner remarked. “After exiting the building, I noticed a pathway leading about sixty yards across the field. And I think to myself, “Do I have to walk all the way down this? It’s going to be really uncomfortable, this.
“And I was like, ‘Just backflip, and I’ll take up the space, and it’ll be over,'” Lautner went on.
Although Lautner’s backflip was “awesome,” host Jimmy Fallon said that it “could’ve gone so wrong.” After agreeing, Lautner said, “Oh, it could’ve.”
