Tina Turner and Her Son’s Wife Have Paid Tribute to the Late Singer’s “Beloved” Son
Tina Turner and her daughter-in-law have paid their respects to the late singer’s “loving” son.
They took to social media after cancer survivor Ronnie Turner died on Friday (09.12.22) at the age of 62, purportedly after neighbors outside his Los Angeles home failed to resuscitate him when he was struggling to breathe on their street.
Tina, 83, wrote alongside a black-and-white photo of the musician on Instagram: “Ronnie, you departed the world far too soon.” In my grief, I close my eyes and remember you, my precious son.”
Afida Turner, a French singer, confirmed Ronnie’s death in an Instagram post, calling him a “genuine angel” and her “best friend.”

“I tried everything I could to save you this time,” she explained. I’ve loved you for… 17 years. This is terrible, and I’m furious.
“This is a tragedy for you, your brother Craig, your father Ike Turner, and Aline… So unjust.”
Afida, who married Ronnie in 2007, was referring to the death of his older brother Craig, who committed suicide at the age of 59 in 2018.
Ronnie, who was a talented musician like his parents and was a member of the band Manufactured Funk, had beaten cancer.
The reason for death has not been disclosed.
According to TMZ, police officials got a 911 call on Thursday morning (08.12.22) from someone who reported Ronnie was outside their home and “had a hard time breathing.”

“A few minutes later, he wasn’t breathing at all,” the insider claimed.
According to reports, paramedics “rushed to the San Fernando Valley address” where bystanders were attempting to resuscitate Ronnie, but the efforts “didn’t work” and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
Craig, Tina’s eldest son from her marriage to musician Raymond Hill, committed himself in July 2018.
Tina tweeted at the time, “My saddest moment as a mother.” The realtor committed suicide at his Studio City home at the age of 59.
I said my final goodbye to my son, Craig Raymond Turner, on Thursday, July 19, 2018, when I gathered with family and friends to scatter his ashes off the coast of California.
“He was 59 when he unfortunately died, but he will always be my baby.”
Tina had Ronnie with her husband Ike in 1960, from whom she divorced in 1976 after the singer accused him of assaulting her before he died of a heroin overdose in 2007.
Ronnie co-starred with Tina in the 1993 biography ‘What’s Love Got To Do With It?’
Tina also adopted Ike Jr. and Mike, the sons of her ex-husband Ike.
In 2018, Ike Jr told DailyMail.com that he was alienated from his adoptive mother, while Mike has remained out of the spotlight.
